New to the forum? Old returning member? Let us know who you are!
Hello all! I'm Agent Double Oh Zero, a.k.a. Bobo the Bard, a.k.a. one of your Evil Admins.
What you need to know about me:
-Die hard metalhead. -Hard core Whovian Stevian Nerdian. -I think I'm something between a planner and pantser. Planning everything down to the last detail sucks all the fun out of it for me, but pantsing with no plan terrifies me. I find that the way to go for me changes pretty drastically with every story, so I tend to feel around a lot in the dark at this stage. Expect much panicking and flailing across the board. :-D -I've only ever been able to finish one short story, which has since been trunked. I have trouble finishing things not because of a sagging middle, but because I have lots of trouble writing coherent scenes. Most of my first drafts tend to be complete gibberish mishmashes of dialogue, scene, and character snippets. This year though, I hope to finish a novel. -In fact, my overarching goal this year is to finish something, anything -- even if it's just a short story -- every month. -Owner of a badly behaved plot hydra that I finally managed to put in a box last year, though the size of the box does tend to vary alarmingly.

I'm so glad I found this forum! I tried NaNoFiMo last month to finish my Nano novel but that was a miserable failure. I blame the Grinch...
I did win Nano, but the novel is only about halfway finished. The problem is (besides frantic Christmas prepping - an excuse I no longer have!) the second half of my story is very ...vague. So I'm probably going to set a time/hours goal for myself so I can spend some time figuring out my second half. Yes, plotter here.
I'm hoping to focus this month and finish my novel, if not in January, then definitely by February. I have to figure out what my goal will be for this month. I have a full-time job as a copyeditor, so I have to snatch writing time when I can.

Hi everyone, so glad I've found this forum. I'm feedme, a 29 year old mother of three who likes to write in my spare time. I also love reading, painting/drawing, listening to audio books and music, designing costumes and dresses, patternmaking and manufacture said designs, and watching tv/movies.

Welcome to Steve feedme and monica4567 . My attempt at an intro: I'm a goat dairy farmer, a metal fan who loves a bit of everything from prog to black, a coffee addict and another one of those evil Steve admins. I write speculative fiction, bouncing around between sci-fi, fantasy and horror with plenty of random weirdness and steadily growing amounts of darkness. Also, giant glowing things. I use the most chaos-driven writing approach I could figure out - out-of-order pantsing with a dose of 'plan as you go'.

Hey guys! You may call me HM if you're feeling too lazy to type out my whole username Anyway, uh... this is my second year being on the forums, and I tend to write fantasy and/or mxm romance (really that should be the other way around...). I have a hard time finishing anything I start, but I keep trying, so there's that! I also love video games (the posters on my walls pretty much confirm this), cooking all the things, listening to music (right now I'm starting to get into music like what Flogging Molly does (no idea what you call that!), watching half-naked guys beat up on each other (a.k.a wrestling), and purple is the best color eva! I hope we can all be the bestest of friends! -hugs everyone whether they want it or not-

Ha! Took a while, but I found you guys.
I'm isidri.
I'm a tutor, academic coordinator, and freelance journalist living in a small town in the woods of northern New England.
I'm married and have an eight-year-old son.
I've been writing since I was a moody little weirdo obsessed with Little House on the Prairie.
I love the spirit of NaNo, but November is seriously the worst month of the year for me to do a writing challenge. So I've always been a JaNo kinda gal.
I love reading (duh), writing (duh), reading about writing, and writing about reading.
My nerdisms: Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, Orphan Black, 90's animation, graphic novels.

Hey isidri. Welcome to Steve!
Wow, we've got a lot of Whovians this time, but nice to see another Orphan Black fan. Man, can't wait until April!

Hi, all! You can call me Lizee or "you there" or any other creative names you can come up with. c:
I'm in high school. I play the flute, flamboyantly do the theatre stuff, read, and write in my free time. Lolwutfreetime. If I had to choose three adjectives to describe myself they would be "weird," "ditzy," and "self-proclaimed genius." (Okay, that was five words, but shh!) My personality type is ENTP. Debating is fun for me. I type really, really fast and pride myself on that (if anyone's counting, it averages to about 100wpm with 95% accuracy). My writing ends up being hella-redundant, and I usually cut the beginnings (and the middles...and the ends) when I get around to editing my stories. I also procrastinate. A lot.
This is my first time on these forums; I stumbled upon them by reading Becky Black's blog, clicked one too many links, and went on a wiki walk around the internet...here I am now.
I'll probably end up lurking more than posting, but who knows. Hopefully, this is the start to my yearlong "BE CREATIVE" goal, which will include writing (a) novel(s), participating in Album-a-Day, taking one picture everyday, maybe gothnowrimo (I've got a really good revamp idea for Swan Lake), NaNoWriMo, of course, and maybe WriYe. But I figured this was the best place to start, since not /all/ of what I want to do revolves around writing. And you guiz seem cool.
Anyways, sayonara, my fellow wrimos. ~

Hey prodigyfishy. Welcome to Steve! Glad you found us, and hope we can get everyone to their creative goal this year!. XD Good luck! Reminder to everyone: If you haven't created a PPT, why not head over to the Personal Progress Threads board and kick off a thread of your own by listing your goals for the month? If you haven't signed up for any challenges, JWJ is a good place to start. You win by just writing! If that's your thing, we have a bunch of other silly things going on as well. What are we waiting for? Let's fire up this party!

Hi all! I'm a 25-year-old urban fantasy/scifi/horror writer from NJ. I hit 50k words of my current urban fantasy novel-in-progress during NaNoWriMo and want to keep the ball rolling, so I'm really happy this community exists! I'm looking to finish at least another 30k during January/February and get the story finished before I take the ax to my first draft.
When I'm not writing I enjoy hiking/camping, binge watching Buffy & Firefly, PC gaming, cooking guilt-inducing comfort food, watching wildlife documentaries, reading (especially short stories on Reddit of all places), and haunting the local coffee shop.
