Hi everyone!
I'm HalftheStorm. You can also call me Danny. I use they/them pronouns. I'm originally from the Discord chat so a few of you may know me from there!
I've been working on the same story idea consistently for years now and I hope to get it published one day. I mainly write horror but I might write other genres in the future. I'll have to see!

Welcome halfthestorm! Be sure to click on Get Started to get a feel for what we do here. Then head on over to Personal Progress Threads to make a thread for yourself. This is your own personal journal to talk about novel progress and life in general. Also, be sure to head over to the Bucket of Challenges to sign up for Challenges! We have FebNoWriMo, Steve the Writing Group, and the Book Club over in the General Board that we're starting soon. There's a bunch more. Feel free to sign up for whatever you want! You'll need to hit 10 posts in order to view SYW, and 25 posts in order to post there. Even though it's a small forum, it's actually pretty easy to hit that just by playing some games and posting on other people's PPTs.

*stumbles in disoriented*
I haven't used a forum in years... Generally not on a pc long enough to make use of one, so I don't know how active I'll be. I prefer something a little more user friendly for mobile, like discord is.
Anyway... I'm Rose. Female. Whovian. Fantasy writer. Amateur kink and erotica and sci-fi writer on the side. Awkward person who sucks at peopling. Generally keep to myself and observe more than I interact, but I do try when I'm feeling good. Other times, it's hit and miss.
Ummmmm. I don't know what else to say. I'm not terribly interesting. XD

I did take a look at that app but it has a ton of bad reviews saying it's buggy and various other reasons. =/ I don't know if my mobile is using the mobile friendly version on my browser out not though.

Hi everyone, I'm Never So, something about me. I'm currently writing the first book of a thriller series with scifi elements. Let's call it a scifi thriller. I'm also working on a scifi/fantasy series with a friend. The list of book ideas is long! I live in Finland, I'm 25, female. I love reading (of course), especially crime fiction, everything speculative and historical fiction. Same goes with tv shows and movies. I'm also a literature student, a blogger and an instagrammer. Beautiful places and scenery always make me happy. Also cooking and baking. I love to travel, to explore and to learn new skills, languages for example. I've visited 10 countries outside Finland and I can't wait to go somewhere I've never been before. What else? I guess that's about it!

Welcome to Steve, neverendingnovel! I'm studying literature at the moment, too - currently neck-deep in some tedious British/American modernism and postmodernism. What are you reading? Looking forward to hearing more about your (never-ending?) novel. Be sure to click on Get Started to get a feel for what we do here. Thank you! Ooohh, cool! I'm currently on summer break, but my spring semester was full of reading. Sociology of art, art history, film theory, media culture, literature as a medium... the list is long. I didn't get to read any novels for studies, sadly.

Hi y'all!
I write mostly scifi screenplays. By "scifi," I mean mostly time travel. By "write," I mean come up with story ideas that end up being notes organized in a narrative structure. By "notes," I mean historical research that relates to the setting/characters in the story I want to tell. I really think I just like history.
I'm inspired most by Black Mirror and the original Twilight Zone. Have some time travel movie/shows/books/games that you liked? Send them my way!

Hello all, I'm Julep!
My writing currently is limited to what I do for class, as I'm taking creative writing in college. My novels, sadly, sit by the wayside awaiting my return. Being a full time college student, a full time worker, and a full time layabout has it's sacrifices.
Some things I enjoy: I like crafts. I use polymer clay, epoxy resin, yarn, fabric, artificial flowers, paper and pencil... Pretty much whatever I can. I like creating things, and I have a wide range of hobbies. I like horses, and spent most of my teenage and young adult years working in various horse barns. Sometimes in exchange for riding lessons, sometimes for money. I like gardening, whenever possible. When it comes to genres of writing, I generally stick with fantasy and/or adventure. I've done some horror, but just in short story form. Reading, I like fantasy and adventure, good westerns, and the occasional light romance (if I'm really bored.)
Some things I don't like: I refuse to discuss politics and religion. I have enough negativity in my life, I don't need those. (If you are wondering, I am strictly non-religious and my political views are for as little government as possible. Take it as you will, but this will be the last I say on these topics, unless for world building purposes.) I dislike being outdoors most of the time, due to the heat, humidity, and bugs. And snakes. And creepy crawlies. And whatever else. On really nice Fall days, I like the outdoors for a little while, but then the siren call of the indoors is just too strong. I also don't care for staying or living in the country.
Some fun facts about me: My family was Amish for several years. We converted when I was almost 8 and when I was 16 my mother went Atheist. My father is still Christian, but doesn't practice any particular rituals. I also like having all the knowledge I can get. I don't care if it's trivial knowledge, or vital knowledge. The only thing I can't seem to keep in my brain is how to math. I guess the facts about the different scientific studies that have been done with ants have taken up residence in the part of my brain that would have been used for numbers.... lol.
Anyways, that's a bit about me. If you want to know more, all you have to do is ask. I'm fairly open about myself. I look forward to getting to know some new people!
