Stuck in your story and need a crazy idea? Then this is the thread for you! How to play: 1. Check out the post immediately above yours and post something for them e.g. a collection of words (possibly in sentence form ), a picture, a Youtube video or some other interesting prompt-shaped thing. 2. Add a short description of your own story, link to a synopsis or in some other way provide some brain-food for whoever comes after you. E.g. if you have a synopsis on your Camp profile you can link to that. If not, a short description like 'I'm writing a futuristic vampire urban fantasy with an MC who looks like Jessica Alba' would probably be enough. (Note: if you've posted in the thread before, you might like to briefly describe a situation you need a prompt for.) 3. Wait for someone else to post!
My story: I'm writing something I'm temporarily calling 'Regency-esque voidpunk'. Not much idea who/what MC looks like yet. The setting is a domed city on a floating fragment of world, surrounded by Giant Glowing Everything... which totally isn't 'void', but apparently only the MC can see anything other than starless void overhead.

Dang, I created a duplicate thread. Eh well.
Are you channeling Dark Arcana? XD
Your prompt: The MC has just detected something glowing falling out of the sky. She sneaks out in the dead of night to avoid the Insert Omnipresent Daytime Danger Here, fearful that what she thinks is inside is actually insidep the thing. What does she know that most people don't?
My story:
SF time travel aetherpunk fantasy with a meddlesome necromancer set in a post-steampunk declining cyber utopia, with gray characters.

Hmm... how about an object prompt? One of your characters wears or sees this: ---- Brain food for the next poster: My story is set in a domed city on a small chunk of planet drifting through Giant Glowing Everything. The city somewhat resembles 19th century London.
