It's that time again, everyone. September approaches, and there must be challenges... or at least activities of some sort. So, welcome to the September planning thread.
My ideas so far:
* Answers to the Self-Evaluation II questions - given how that challenge turned out, I'm wondering about giving us September/October to work through answering the questions and discussing the things we come up with in the process.
* Continue with the weekly flash/snippet prompts. (by the way, any suggestions for prompts/techniques are welcome)
* Maybe a 'reading game' where rather than counting books or pages, the object is that every day we read, we share a little something from the day's reading - e.g. a funny line or phrase, something that happened either in the book or to us while we were trying to read, an idea that came up in response to something we read.
For anyone who's thinking about doing NaNo in November, this is a good time to start thinking about what kind of 'prep' activities you'd like. Think about coming up with the initial idea, outlining, character development, building your world or setting, developing habits, clearing away other tasks and so on.
The part with questions:
1. Are you thinking about NaNo? If so, do you intend to plan/outline during September and October? Do you have any ideas for Steve challenges and activities to help you on your way?
2. For those with other plans for the rest of the year, what are those plans? Do you have any thoughts about how (or if) Steve could be part of those plans
3. Any other ideas/thoughts about September?
