Tools That Make Your Life Easier- f.lux - The bright blue-white backlight on your computer is tinted to imitate daylight, which is harsh on the eyes. Decreasing the brightness can help, but did you know that viewing this light at night can interfere with your sleep patterns? For those hours after sunset, f.lux adds a warmer cast to your screen, closer to the natural light you'll see at those times. I've used it for a couple of weeks now, and I'll definitely say it makes the screen a lot easier on my eyes. F.lux is available for Windows, OS X, iOS, and Linux. Not sure about Android. Might have to jailbreak your device for that and get it via Cydia.
Here is where you can post links to resources that may not necessarily be strictly to do with writing, but which are still helpful in other ways. Please note, if your resource fits into another category, please post it in that category.

Oh! I love f.lux!
Does anyone use Trello for planning timelines of writing (it's actually for project management)? or their grocery list...

I've never heard of Trello. Do you have a link? Also, is it free?

I found a neat little timer program on tumblr that you can set to count only time spent in programs you specify. It always stays on top even if you switch programs, and has a little encouraging 'BACK TO WORK' on the bar at the top when you're not in the "working" programs. You can also set how long to keep timing while idle, so if you walk away from your comp for a moment it won't endlessly continue if you get distracted. neilblr.com/post/58757345346I'm planning on using it during nano in november, just to see how long 50k actually takes me

mynoise.net is a really great resource for having noise in the background while you work. Free for most of the site, although there are some features which can be unlocked with a very small donation. (To give you an idea, I donated $5 about two years ago and had access last time I checked.) Here's my favorite soundscape from the website!
