Oh, perfect. I was just writing a blog post that mentioned that. *steals link to tweet*
I just want to say, congratulations to everybody who wrote something this month. It doesn't matter whether you won NaNo or didn't meet even your lowest goal. Every word forges a new crack in the monolith of obsolescence.
Keep on keeping on. Y'all are awesome.

This is a random thing I wrote for Sisyphusl, which I'm sharing here. There are a couple of things specific to Sekrit Solstice, but it's mostly applicable here too. (Set to the tune of Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames) Through the Panic and PainOn a cold panic dawning, As ideas bounce and drift, Through dusty brain and real life’s reign, We write to make our gift.Sekrit Solstice is flying on, And the plot won’t work out right, The clicks of frantic typing sound, Before the day kills night. Writing hard, writing on to conceal All the fluff with brevity, And ever more universes spawn Making their own gravity. All the plot holes gain the muses’ domain, We cut them and return With handwavium, we banish them to burn! And it’s weak but it’s born! We pants before the bloody brainstorm! On towards a better threat, Our pen carries on. Add more where it began, On through the climax, And empathy for our villain takes its toll! So now we flail, and fail for that dayIf our inbox has presents, we're DONE,And though the wandering conclusion plays out a thousand ways, Through the panic and the pain we're writing on! And there's no time for editing, And the prompt no more applies, We'll throw the characters to the muses above In despair we'll make them cryGiving up is a thing we can't do There's a plot hole in our hearts Our minds are home to the muses' will Though we don't know where to start!Quaffing booze or tea, or caffeine IVWill get us strength to write, And in a week our inner geek Will delight!Oh no this story has no theme At least not one the world can seeIf only we could make some senseOf this rambling, we'll have won.Yes, we're bananas, it's just our way,Crazy gifs just feed our brain,Day after day this lunacy must go on!So now we flail, and fail for that dayIf our inbox has presents, we're DONE,And though the wandering conclusion plays out a thousand ways,Through the panic and the pain we're writing on!Whoa-oh-oah, whoa-oh-oah, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooohhhhh,Whoa-oh-oah, whoa-oh-oah, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oooohhhhh!Now we tweak our small offering a ton, Wrote to the pain, it's impossibly fun,So we'll party on this thread until Monday comes,With stories for everyone! So now we flail, and fail for that dayIf our inbox has presents, we're DONE,And though the wandering conclusion plays out a thousand ways,Through the panic and the pain we're writing on!I'm not saying that I spent my time writing this instead of cleaning up my story, except that's kinda what I just did. :-P

Just a second ago I was telling myself I need to just pound out this next chapter, and then I remembered Shia LaBeouf's speech and I was like DUDE. This totally belongs here. (It's the 1 minute version, so if you want more goodness there's more for you out there (plus funny compilation vids people put together)). Enjoy!

Thank you. I needed that in my life.
Also we need an inspiring metal song called "Stop Giving Up." Maybe by Rhapsody. Or Sabaton. Or Dream Theater.

How about this? Oh, in the calm before the storm Another legend will be born Another battle will be won We will rise Oh, so heed the call of confrontation Today we feed on domination Secure a legacy that will never die Be immortalized( 'Immortalized' by Disturbed)
