So apparently this is the month where all Stevians retreat into their shells and... well I hope writing is happening, but by the look of the April goals thread we could all use a really big shot of coffee mojo mojo-flavoured stimulant beverage of choice.
As usual, of course, the problem is most likely that just when we all need some motivation, none of us are feeling motivational.
In that case, I'd better start with something sparkly.
Okay, sparkliness acquired. My work is done here .
But seriously, what I was actually thinking was something about crazy suggestions for things to do to kick things along.
Obvious ideas:
* Wriday/wrikend
* Other kind of writing challenge e.g. word war (with yourself?). First person to crack 500 words in 15 minutes wins something.
* Pep talks
Crazy ideas:
* Flash fiction/vignettes inspired by whatever we're reading
* Same length, but using prompts from somewhere on the internet
* People actually using the 'prompt the poster above you' thread
Risky ideas:
* Switch projects - edit/rewrite an old project, start something new, reboot your SSSS story...
* Plan/worldbuild for something and count those words as well as what you write in your main project
* Work on multiple projects at once
Bad ideas:
* Declare April 'The Month That Shall Never Be Spoken Of Again' and regroup for a big attack on something in May
* Post heaps on Steve, but never actually write anything
----
So, any additional obvious, crazy, risky or bad ideas? Want to take one of the things I posted and run with it? Have a completely different idea for how we should approach this mojo-hunting business?
-----
Edit:
I've set up two new challenges: a wrikend for the 18th/19th and 'Speedy Stevians' (15 and 30 minute sprints)
